TAS and Days for Girls
TAS took over 30 packs that the Cairns team made to India for the World Challenge 2019 expedition.
Five of our Year 11 students delivered an informative presentation about periods and reproduction using a Days for Girls education book to girls who were aged between 11 and 15 at a government school in a low socio-economic area in the city of Udaipur, Rajasthan. One of the best parts of this session was seeing the young girls ask questions at the end and engage in an open discussion with their teachers and other females. Packs were then given to the school girls (see the photos below). We also conducted another session at a community centre that supports children in the area from very poor families.
