Powerful Photos Show Contrasts in Wellbeing
To raise the awareness about the war-ravaged lives in Syria, an Istanbul-based artist, Ugur Gallenkus, created a digital collage series, showing the blunt disparity between the lives of people in war-torn countries and those living in relatively peaceful regions. Ugur Gallenkus writes, 'Turkey is located next door to one of the most dangerous regions of the modern world. The contrast between these two territories reflects two different worlds'. The following images vividly show the contrast between what seem to be two completely different worlds. Uğur Gallenkuş posted these on his Instagram account, and they will make you think long and hard about the privileges you have, but do not realise or acknowledge.
