Number / total number x 100 |
Example:
Below are the population figures for 6-16 years old's in Australian in a recent year.
To find out the percentage of 6-16 years old that live in Queensland: Queensland number / Total number x 100 572,718 / 2,942,102 x 100 = 19.47% (rounded to two decimal points) |
Range
Formula:
Range = highest number - lowest number |
Example:
If the highest number is 100 and the lowest number is 80. Range = 100 - 80 Range = 20 |
Growth Percentage
Formula:
Growth percentage = (present value – past value) x 100 Past value |
Example:
If the present value is 2500 and the past value is 2000. = (2500 – 2000) x 100 2000 = 0.25 x 100 Growth percentage = 25% |
